Cupping

Cupping is a local decompression therapy in which a jar is attached to the skin surface to cause local congestion through the negative pressure created by introducing heat in the form of an ignited material. Cupping therapy dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures. It resolves the blood stasis by building the negative pressure on the skin. As invigorating the gas exchange in the blood stream, Cupping therapy also promotes the metabolism, improves the blood circulation, helps the nutrient supply to cells in the body, and, therefore, treats various conditions such as an ankle sprain, muscle or joint pain due to contusion, muscle stiffness or pain, muscle cramp, indigestion, chronic fatigue, insomnia, obesity, facial paralysis, spondylosis, and so on.
